1. How many choices do I need to insert before inserting a question?
You need to insert at least two choices. And among these one option should be in selected mode.

2. How can I maintain a question bank for repeated insertion of questions?
When you create a question using PowerQuizPoint, you have the option of saving the question to the question bank that too under your desired category. Using this question bank you can easily insert question to multiple quizzes very easily thereby saving a lot of time and effort. You have the advantage of loading and re-using that question in any PowerPoint presentation without having to re-create the question, correct answer, and wrong answer slides.
You have these following options while inserting a question.


3. Is selecting a category necessary while inserting a question?
No. You need to select a category only if you would like to save the question into question bank.

4. How can I add a new category while inserting a question?
Go to the category area and type in you category name there. Now your inserted question will move to this category folder.

5. Is it necessary that I need to type in something in the header Text box area?
No. You can even leave it blank.

6. Do I have the option to show/hide “Next”/”Back” navigation buttons on the published Quiz?
Yes. All you need to do is to tick on/off the options as per your requirements.

7. How can I edit a question saved in question bank.
You need to select “Load Question” button and then edit the same.

8. Can Insert multiple questions from Question bank simultaneously?
Yes. Click Cntrl , select required questions and then insert the same.

9. Can I add Video, Audio, Flash, PowerPoint shapes to the question slides once they are inserted?
Yes. You can add your own Video, Audio, Flash to the question slide just like you add them to any presentation slide.

10. How do I change the quiz template before inserting a question?
Go to “Quiz Templates” tab and select your template.

11. How can I enable/disable score in PowerQuizPoint?
Go to “Quiz Templates” tab and tick on/off “Enable Score” option.

12. After inserting question(s) what sort of modifications can I do inside powerpoint slide?
After inserting you can change the text, font formats, insert new shapes, sounds etc

13. Can I delete and re-insert the text place holders inside question/ answers slides.
Not at all. Deleting the shapes will interfere with the functioning of PowerQuizPoint

General Requirements

1. What is the minimum software requirement to run PoweQuizPoint?
Microsoft PowerPoint version: PowerPoint 2002/2003/2007
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/2003/ Vista
Windows Installer: Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1
.NET Framework: Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0
DirectX: DirectX 8.1 or above
Flash Player: Adobe Flash Player 7

2. What is the minimum hardware requirement to run PowerQuizPoint?
CPU Pentium III 860 MHz
RAM 128MB RAM
Available Disk Space 500MB
Display SVGA with at least 800dpi x 600dpi resolution

3. Why do I get the .NET framework version not found dialog?
The PowerQuizPoint software requires the software Microsoft dot NET framework version 2.0 pre-installed on your system to work properly. Therefore you must first install this software before the PowerQuizPoint software is installed. You can download this software from Microsoft’s web site. To do so, choose the option ‘Download .NET framework version 2.0’ in the above dialog and click Next. The PowerQuizPoint setup program will quit and you will be taken to the DigitalOfficePro page from which you can go to the Microsoft’s download page to download the .NET framework version 2.0. Once you have downloaded and installed the .NET framework on your machine, you should run the PowerFlahsPoint setup program again.

If your system does not have Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1, while installing the .NET framework version 2.0, you may be asked to install the Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1 as well. In this case, you have to download and install the Windows installer 3.1 before proceeding with the installation of Microsoft .NET frame work 2.0. Then install DigitalOfficePro: PowerQuizPoint.

4. Why does the PowerQuizPoint toolbar not show up in PowerPoint?
You might not have installed Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) support during the Office installation process. Please install this feature by running the Office setup program again using Add/Remove programs section of Control Panel. If you are still having the problem, please try the solution to the next question [What else should I do to make the toolbar appear in PowerPoint?].

5. What else should I do to make the toolbar appear in PowerPoint?
This may be due to the security restrictions set for the PowerPoint add-ins. Please change the settings as mentioned below:

PowerPoint 2002, PowerPoint 2003
• Go to Tools -> Macro -> Security;
• Select the Trusted Publishers tab on the Security widow;
• Check the box next to Trust all installed add-ins and templates.
• Click OK and restart PowerPoint.

PowerPoint 2007
• Click on the Office button (the round button with Office logo on the top left corner of the PowerPoint application window).
• Click the button ‘PowerPoint Options’ at the bottom of the window.
• Click the command ‘ Trust Center ’ on the left window pane.
• Click the button ‘ Trust Center Settings…’
• Choose the command ‘Macro Settings’ on the left window pane.
• In the section, ‘Developer Macro Settings’, check on ‘Trust access to the VBA project object model’.
• Click OK and again OK

6. Why do I get Regasm.exe - Fatal error at the end of the installation?
You may get this error, if there are some files belonging to previous installation of.NET framework beta framework on your machine even after uninstalling them. You need to uninstall all files related to beta releases. You can do this using the tool given in the site http://blogs.msdn.com/danielfe/archive/2005/10/27/485863.aspx ( please read the precautions on the same site before running the tool) Then reinstall .NET framework 2.0.

7. What are the limitations of the Demo version?
PowerQuizPoint Demo produces Flash content of the same quality as the full version. But the Demo version has a few restrictions mentioned below:

1. It adds a PowerQuizPoint demo logo on each quiz slide

2. Users can add ten questions only.

8. What should I do if the Publishing process hangs?
Close the PowerQuizPoint interface dialog on clicking the Cancel button or the window close button (X) on the top right corner of the interface dialog. Close PowerPoint. Reopen your presentation and try converting again. If the conversion process still hangs, close the PowerQuizPoint interface dialog by hitting the Cancel button and close PowerPoint. Go to the PowerFalshPoint installation folder [eg: D:\Program Files\DigitalOfficePro\PowerQuizPoint] and delete folders Output and Temp. Now try converting again.

9. Before publishing, how can I make the resultant SWF presentation size smaller?
Decrease the Jpeg quality percentage value in the Settings dialog.

10. Does PowerQuizPoint support video embedded into presentation?
Yes, it supports embedded Videos.

11. Does PowerQuizPoint support flash clips embedded into presentation?
Yes, it supports embedded flash clips.

12. Does PowerQuizPoint support any language other than English?
No.

13. What audio file formats does PowerQuizPoint support?
PowerQuizPoint currently supports audio files in .wav and .mp3 format.

14. When I run the SWF, the flash player gets crashed. What should I do?
This problem can be solved by using Flash player version 8.0 or above. Or set the Jpeg quality in the PowerQuizPoint Settings dialog to 100% before doing the conversion
